POSITION TYPE: Full-Time

POSITION SUMMARY:

Data entry clerks are responsible for inputting a high volume of data from multiple sources into a database, ensuring that all necessary data is being entered and maintained. In addition, data entry clerks must verify and edit data and prepare periodic reports as needed.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information. Maintains database by entering new and updated information in an effective, up to date, and accurate manner. Accurately enter data into corresponding fields within various software programs.

1. Identify and correct data entry errors using appropriate quality control methods
2. Entering data into the central database
3. Retrieving data as requested
4. Maintaining and updating the database system as necessary
5. Informing relevant parties regarding errors encountered
6. Prepare relevant reports as needed
7. Handling additional duties from time to time

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Data entry experience or related office experience
2. Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
3. Excellent organizational and analytical skills
4. Strong computer skills
5. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel and Word
6. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
7. Ability to enter data into a computer quickly and accurately
8. Ability to concentrate for lengthy periods and perform accurately with adequate speed
