- University students with proven track record of similar or other IT works that is relevant for this role can apply.
- Experience on data entry of large volume of backlog data.
- At least six months of experience on data entry is required.
- Excellent knowledge of word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel etc.)
- Experience on data verification, analysis, interpreting, reporting and decision making.
- Experience on data importing/exporting from/to a data management system.
- Experience to organize files and documents.
- Experience on work independently and as part of the team.
- Technical skill on data backup handling.
- Good written and spoken English.
- Applicant who has private computer is preferable.
- Speaks the local language is required.

Project background
Realizing Aspiration of Youth in Ethiopia through Employment (RAYEE) is a five-year (Nov 2019 to October 2024 inclusive) youth employment creation project which is being implemented in Collaboration with Mastercard Foundation. The overall objective of the project is to secure dignified and fulfilling employment and improved livelihoods for 240,000 youth between the age of 18 to 35 years in urban, peri-urban, and rural target areas of Ethiopia. It is envisaged to realize 180,000 jobs through establishing 45,000 Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) and the remaining 60,000 jobs through linking for wage employment in firms. 70% of the jobs are targeted for young Women and 70% of the jobs are to be in Agriculture/Agribusiness sector.

Purpose of the job
RAYEE has worked on digital data management system to collect, store and analyze project data in the course of its implementation specially from year 4 onwards. Training is provided for cluster advisors and data entry clerks to enhance the data entry process. Following the training the data entry has started from November 15, 2022, onwards by data entry clerks. However, the backlog data entry is still ongoing throughout all clusters although there varies the data entry achievement across clusters which need to be finalized with fixed agreed deadline by hiring intern clerks for data entry.
The Data entry clerk intern will be responsible to conduct data verification, perform data entry, organize the project hard and soft copy data, import/export the project data from the digital data management system and regularly update the project data to the system. He/she will play a vital role by improving the project data quality.
The data entry clerk intern will closely work regional project advisors, local service providers, youth enterprise development and quality improvement advisors, national MEAL advisors and national program advisors to ensure the project data and service quality.
