      Overview

      Summary/Objective

      Compensation -- $18 hourly.


      The main function of this position is to enter all incoming accounts payable invoices into the system for payment. While entering the invoices the clerk takes care to note all terms, discounts and mailing addresses. The entered invoices are then scanned for future reference. The clerk also answers all calls that come in on the operator line.

      This position involves working in a busy office setting with frequent interruptions.
      Physical Demands
      This position requires frequent sitting, use of hands, talking and listening. Periodically, this position walks, stands and reaches. Rarely, this position climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls.

      Qualifications

      Competencies

      Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos, write simple correspondence, effectively present information to others one-on-one. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form; deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

      Preferred Education and Experience

      High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 to 3 months related experience and/or training.
