      Job Description

      What you can expect in a typical day:
      We have a great opportunity for a seasonal Data Entry Clerk to join our team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. The key focus of this role is responsible for data entry and we are looking for someone to support the balancing of inventory and cash, inventory reconciliation, filing and other duties as required. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and someone who is self-motivated to accomplish the task at hand.

      What you’ll need to succeed:

      • Retrieve and print scanned documents.
      • Verify all beginning and ending figures.
      • Responsible for manually inputting inventory receipts and adjustments.
      • Ownership of editing and posting electronic download files.
      • Responsible for the verification and reconciliation of all cash and cheque payments.
      • Responsible for manually inputting PO numbers.
      • Identify inventory errors and manually input in an Access database.
      • Manage and update Excel inventory spreadsheet.
      • Manage the sorting of mail and batch paperwork.
      • Filing and other duties as required.

      Professional Skills

      • Must be able to multi-task and can organize and prioritize own work.
      • Excellent communication skills are necessary, both oral and written.
      • Must be able to work well with others.
      • Strong attention to detail.
      • Strong knowledge of MS office applications, particularly Outlook and Excel.

      Travel

      • Travel is not a requirement for this position.

      Education and experience

      • High School Diploma
      • Post-secondary education in business or related discipline an asset
      • 1-3 years related experience
      • Inventory balancing and/or accounting knowledge an asset
