      Data Insight Analyst

      Contract: Hybrid - 1-2 days per week onsite preferred

      Location: Staines (TW18 3DZ) or Manchester (M30 3SP)

      Permanent

      Salary range: £41,000 - £50,000 (Neg) depending on experience & location

      Full time: 37.5 hours per week

      A Data Insight Analyst at Bupa offers a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in agile teams and has a passion for data-driven decision-making!

      Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

      • Delivering analytical products such as reports, dashboards, and models.

      • Identifying and unlock hidden insights in data.

      • Engaging with business team leaders / stakeholders.

      • Lead the creation of valuable, reusable data assets.

      • Empower colleagues to make better-informed decisions.

      How you’ll help us make health happen:

      • Work with the CDAO & Delivery Squad teams to ensure initiatives, data assets, and projects are understood, tasked, and delivered on time.

      • Clarify and document business data definitions and requirements.

      • Extract insights that internal customers can understand and use.

      • Provide recommendations to help internal customers achieve their goals.

      • Quantify the value delivered to internal customers.

      • Create insightful dashboards and reports.

      • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.

      • Assist with requirements documentation, gap analysis, impact analysis, data definitions, sizing, and value assessment.

      • Question and challenge existing data definitions and processes based on insights.

      • Communicate results to internal customers, highlighting the key takeaways.

      • Develop collaborative relationships with other agile delivery squads and internal customers.

      • Promote data best practices, provide feedback, and identify improvement opportunities.

      Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:

      • Proficiency with tools like Power BI.

      • Experience with Snowflake (SQL) and DAX.

      • Experience in developing and delivering data products for internal customers.

      • Ability to establish and monitor key performance indicators to measure value delivered.

      • Strong written and oral communication skills for clear and insightful messaging.

      • Excellent collaborator capable of building effective working relationships at all levels.

      Highly Desirable

      • Understanding of Cloud technologies, development approaches, tools and techniques

      • Experience of project management methods e.g. agile, waterfall, Scrum etc

      • Experience of working in an agile squad

      • Experience in building star schema data models

      • Commercial experience in a related sector (e.g. insurance, healthcare) or function (e.g. marketing)
