      What You’ll Get to Do!

      The Data Librarian are responsible for planning, organizing, and preparing accurate business mileage records of operational trips. The Data Librarian researches all operational trips via air, ground transportation including MVM, Inc. vehicles taken by employees from all offices, makes corrections and verifies accuracy, this information is inputted in a spread sheet and submitted to the DPM for review. The Data Librarian is responsible for quantifying the children and family units picked up from areas outside of the RGV, creating a report and submitting it to the DPM.

      Key functions you will perform!

      • Generates weekly operations reports detailing miles travelled, destination, and reason for transport for all locations under the UAC program.

      • Conducts, collects, and evaluates information from Mercury using established metrics to determine mileage.

      • Identifies and collects relationships between trips, TS personnel, mileage, distance, and departure/destination for each individual office. If trips involve the use of MVM vehicles, travel distances are calculated using Google Maps.

      • Collects and evaluates information by contacting offices and verifying all transportation information.

      • Conducts, collects, and evaluates information using Mercury’s Scheduling Report.

      • Generates weekly reports to provide metrics and information related to the weekly family unit report and the non-Rio Grande Valley (RGV) UAC report.

      • Performs other duties as assigned.

      • Reviews all emails for information on trips done on a daily basis.

      KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

      • Travel experience.

      • Knowledge of online research, travel distances, airline and ground transportation.

      • Highly motivated with strong time management skills and ability to stay on task.

      • Works well in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines.

      • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

      • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

      • Ability to manage multiple changing priorities and follow through successfully.

      • Able to handle sensitive and confidential information.

      • Able to type.

      • Comfortable using smart phone and tablet technology.

      QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Possess a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (an associate degree with two or more years of extra relevant experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree, or more than four years of related experience may be substituted for a degree)

      • Have at least two years or more of documented experience in a field related to business administration, statistics, data analysis, data management or similar occupational area; and ( a minimum of four years of experience is required when an associate’s degree with two or more years of relevant experience is substituted for a bachelor’s degree or 6 years of experience in a related field when four years of experience is substituted for a degree)

      • Ability to pass a Government Security Background Investigation, including a favorable credit check, no criminal record, and no prior drug use.

      • Ability to comprehend and speak (both) Spanish and English fluently.

      • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

      Clearance:

      • Applicants selected will be subject to a Government background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

      Security Requirements:

      • U.S. Citizenship

      • Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance

      • Favorable credit check

      Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

      Standing/Walking/Mobility : Must have mobility to attend meetings with managers and employees.

      Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 5% - 25% of the time.

      Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 25% - 49% of the time.

      Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type use a computer, utilize inventory software, and operate telephone system 75% - 100% of the time.

      Physical Dimensions: Occasionally moves 10-20 lbs. Able to sit and work at their workstation for long periods of time.
