      We’re seeking a talented Data Risk Services Specialist to join the Data Risk team within our NZ Risk division.

      As a Data Risk specialist, you will assist the Data Risk Services Lead in providing Data Governance and Data Risk Services to New Zealand stakeholders.

      Collaborating with the Data Risk Adoption and Oversight team, you will deliver Data Risk Services based on delivery of customer value and key stakeholders to align and manage interdependencies with data risk maturity requirements.

      What will your day look like?

      As a Data Risk Services Specialist, you are accountable for:

      • Provide Data Risk assurance services including Data Quality Issue Management triage support, Critical data management guidance, Data Impact Assessment and Record Retention & Disposal (RR&D) Information Assets Schedule review.

      • Execute on a service priority plan engaging with the Adoption & Oversight team and other key stakeholders to align and manage interdependencies with data risk maturity requirements.

      • Assist in developing a set of Data Management control requirement to support automation of business glossary, lineage/metadata capture and data quality management.

      • Assist in developing a set of control requirements to support robust Record Retention & Disposal (RR&D) Information Assets Schedule review process.

      • Produce Data management analytics for the Adoption and Oversight team.

      • Provide SME advice and technical guidance on Data management practices.

      What will you bring?


      To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

      • 4+ years’ experience in data governance, data management, risk management, and compliance in banking or financial services.

      • Understanding of ANZ Non-Financial Risk Framework.

      • Understanding of the NZ Regulatory environment (CPG235, BCBS239, NZ records retention obligations and Privacy regulations).

      • Hands on experience with Data Management tools and techniques.

      • Demonstrated ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements.

      • Ability to efficiently and effectively build regulatory knowledge.

      • Demonstrate strong analytical skill to extract key information to practical insight.

      • Familiarity in working in an agile environment.

      • Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to build strong, open and collaborative working relationships, including communicating diverse stakeholders.

      • Proven ability to work across large and complex organisations
