- Work in partnership with experienced members of the team and stakeholders on the business and technical side to gather requirements for data products. Potentially work on a use case for Data Science / AI / ML.
- Create process models, specifications, documents, wireframes, and charts and gain experience in translating this information into actionable tasks working closely with subject matter experts on product design.
- Collect, analyze, and prepare sources to perform target data mapping.
- Testing and analysis of results to ensure the solution meets the needs of the business community.
- Deliver updates and presentations with wide variety of stakeholders and learn to share insights including roadmaps.
- Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos, grooming, and release planning.
- Create training documentation and train end users once new development work or enhancements are complete.
- Pursuing bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Data Science, Business, Analytics or related field.
- Passionate about learning new skills and willingness to take initiative, be creative, curious, and collaborative.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, and ability to prioritize.
- Good communication skills - written, verbal.
- Great interpersonal skills.
- High degree of initiative, drive, confidence, and resilience
- Skills in Microsoft Office Software (MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, etc.)
- Familiarity with relational data modeling and SQL for data manipulation and tuning for optimal performance.
- Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment.
- Background with business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy or Tableau, reporting, and data transformation using tools like SQL and leveraging database design.
- Knowledge of software development lifecycle (including understanding business processes, gathering user requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and training)
- Knowledge of project management and change management
- Forward-thinking analytical capability, excellent problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to independently conduct in-depth data analysis.
- Ability to be a cross-functional team player with a track record of building positive relationships with peers and others within a company.
About the company
As a Data Product Management Intern for Data & Analytics team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to analytics solutions across multiple teams and support key data-driven initiatives at Skechers. The intern will help build, test and document new or improved data products, learn and maintain best practices for change management and collaborate with business leads, data stewards and power users to creatively solve for real-life business problems utilizing large-scale data.Key responsibilities of this role
