Strategic vision for the product: the product manager contributes to the definition and evolution of the Data and Analytics portfolio by defining and communicating a vision on where the product, area or market could realistically go.
Communication: the Product Manager needs to be able to effectively communicate to users, senior customers (up to VP level) and present at conferences with large audiences (200 +) about the product, the vision and roadmap and its benefits through presentations, documentation and demos.
Product Performance: Track product performance/revenue against the Business Case and report on significant deviations.
Support sales and solution design teams for key strategic opportunities
Coordinate different functional and technical streams with R&D teams to ensure end to end solution consistency.
Manage the budget for area of responsibility including capacity planning with R&D.
Participate in Agile events (Lean Portfolio Management, PI planning, System demos, Inspect and Adapt workshops…) when applicable / required.
When applicable, fulfill Product Owner role or ART PM and work with R&D teams to maximize the agile teams outcome.
Ensure solutions (to be) released meet the users needs and product readiness guidelines.
Manage 3rd party partnerships: requirement definition and prioritization, coordination of product evolution and other activities with the partner
Roadmap: essential in a community environment. The Product Manager leads the product from the roadmap in order to serve the customers and implementation projects rather than being led by the project. Key elements for success here revolve around having the right vision. The Product Manager works closely with the development teams to secure and maintain the product roadmap.
Build his/her own vision from the various sources, for a community product the product manager is exposed to varying requirements around the same area from different customers, regions etc.. This means that the product manager is in a unique position to extract the best approach.
For product construction and gap analysis the Product Manager needs exhibits strong listening skills, with a good understanding of market and customer needs: understanding where the customer comes from, demonstrate to customer the need has been understood (and not just documented).
Challenging customer requirements (convincing customer of alternatives, influencing, …)
Strong data competence in the context of an airport/airline business including the appropriate consideration for data protection and privacy
Ensure data governance for the products are aligned to the organization needs
Value analysis: the Product Manager builds a view on the key elements of our solutions or potential solution to bring value to the targeted market and the ability to quantifying using a variety of techniques. This will require the ability to create estimation using informed assumptions as often the detailed data analysis is not really possible.
Understanding of the market (various segments and rough view on the sizes) and potential pipeline and targets. As a result the Product Manager will also maintain the product packaging for optimum performance based on the markets. Perform competitive analysis of other market solutions potential 3rd party solutions available on the market.
Pricing: especially with new products this can prove an uneasy activity if not handled structurally and combined with the fact that there is a significant amount of subjectivity. The key aspect is to show how pricing/revenue can be maximized. Pricing is driven by the value generated and/or the willingness to pay. A product manager is key to help drive this willingness to pay by demonstrating the value of the product and convincing the customers and markets. The construction costs only come as a last measure and mostly as part of a business case validation.
Business Case: The Product Manager prepares and maintains the business case for products, evolution and packaging.
Significant work experience (>3/5 years) in Product Management, Portfolio Management, Strategy or Data Product Management
Strong communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
Strong analytical skills
Ability to present complex content in a simple and clear way
Results-oriented and problem-solving mindset
Knowledge and execution of the entire Product lifecycle process
Flexible and adaptable, able to work in a complex and evolving environment
Excellent English verbal & written communication skills
Understanding of Airline and/or Airport business & Amadeus internal network is a strong asset

Job Description Summary
Within Airport IT and Airline Operations (AAO), data & intelligence is slated for exponential growth with wider data analytics and intelligence solutions adoption expected in the coming years.
The Airport and airline operations data and Intelligence team within the existing Passenger processing product management team is responsible for the portfolio of data & analytics products.
The PM in question will drive cockpit and Platform stream of the next Gen Delivery Management product suite of Nevio. The job will involve regular interactions with analysts, data scientists, engineers, designers and most importantly business stakeholders / transversal teams clients / prospects.This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about staying up to date with the latest and greatest in technological trends and has the creativity to consider the applications within a business environment.
A Product Manager's role hinges around two main axis. Externally (customers, forums, ...) a product manager has a detailed understanding of the market segment being addressed. Internally (within Amadeus) a Product Manager is responsible for a subset of the AAO data product portfolio.
Common accountabilities:
• Has the required technical/functional knowledge and experience in own discipline. Knowledge of the Amadeus business and how it is related to own area.
• Works using existing procedures or guidelines and provides inputs to support/influence area decisions. Makes recommendations on new solutions and proposes improvements by analyzing different sources of information.
• Works with a moderate level of guidance and direction from manager.
