80% Solution Development - Design and develop algorithms and models to use against large datasets to create business insights; Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences and revenue.
20% Communicating Results - Effectively communicate insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical leaders and business customers/partners; Present recommendations in a confident manner in order to influence execution of recommendation.
Masters in a quantitative field (Computer Science, Math, Statistics, etc.) is strongly preferred.
2+ years of experience in computer science or data science modeling
Knowledgeable in Prescriptive Modeling like Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Recommendation, Search, or NLP
Proficiency in Python or R
Strong knowledge in SQL
Proficient utilizing statistical techniques to identify key insights that help solve business problems

Job Summary and Scope:
The Data Science Intern will be working on data science projects that drive digital commerce sales, and improved customer experience. This role applies industry-leading analytical methodologies for working with large datasets to extract meaningful business insight and creatively solve business problems. Based on the specific data science project, this role would work on domains such as classification, text mining, recommendation, search, or NLP.
The role will be part of the Business Insights and Advance Analytics team which is a group of talented strategy analysts, market research analysts, business analysts, and data scientists. The team is responsible for reporting and analytics needs of the commercial excellence functions such as Marketing, Product Management, Corporate Strategy, and Pricing.
