  Who are we looking for?

  The Data Scientist Intern will help support the Engineering team identify meaningful patterns and insights in large datasets. You are inquisitive by nature, maintain a professional temperament, and have the desire to learn in a corporate environment.

  This is a 10-week program beginning June 5, 2024, and ending August. 16, 2024. This will be a part-time (up to 29 hours/week maximum) with the potential to go full-time in the future role.

  
  

  What does this position pay?

  The hourly compensation for this role is $20.00 for undergraduate students and $21.00 for graduate students.

  
  

  What will you do?

  This Data Science Intern focuses on analyzing and interpreting complex datasets. Expectations include:

  • Gaining proficiency in data analysis, statistical modeling, and machine learning techniques.
  • Assisting in the development and validation of predictive models.
  • Participating in data mining and cleaning to prepare datasets for analysis.
  • Building and refining AI and ML models, particularly in areas like language learning models (LLMs) and predictive analytics.
  • Engaging in industry-leading efforts, such as those involving General AI (GENAI), to gain cutting-edge experience.
  • Collaborating with seniors on projects that push the boundaries of current AI and ML capabilities.
  • Leveraging advanced machine learning techniques for practical applications.

  This position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of AI development, providing invaluable exposure to emerging technologies in AI and ML.

  
  

  What education and experience do you need?

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of programming languages such as Python or R
  • Familiarity with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, Keras, or Scikit-learn
  • Understanding of database structures, data preprocessing techniques, and statistical modeling
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau, PowerBI, or Matplotlib
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
