      Job Description:

      This position is a 10-week internship program that will start June 3rd through August 9th.

      This is a remote opportunity, but offices are available in Shelton, CT if so desired.

      The wage range for this position is $28 - $35, dependent on skills and experience.

      The Innovation Data Science Team is focused on delivering strategically important products to our internal and external clients across Business Units. This internship position will assist with initiatives for our Presort organization.

      As a Data Science Intern, you will:

      • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to refine requirements.
      • Develop data-driven solutions for our clients’ business problem.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Data Development and Engineering.
      • Embrace a measurable and repeatable analytics delivery model using best practice.
      • Communicate technical ideas and results to non-technical clients in written and verbal form.

      Qualifications:

      • BS, MA/MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
      • Experience building and implementing solutions in the area(s) of prediction/forecasting models with machine learning libraries, simulation or optimization (Skilearn, TensorFlow, Keras, Seaborn, Scipy, Pandas, matplotlib, SimPy, Gurobi, Google OR-Tools).
      • Strong Python programming skills are a significant plus
      • Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with BI tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI).
      • Experience using common data platform tools like AWS, Snowflake, etc…
