As a Data Scientist, your primary responsibilities will include providing AI solutions and developing machine learning models to analyze diverse biomedical datasets and extract actionable insights. You'll be a vital member of the Machine Learning and AI team embedded within the Biopharmaceutical Development (BPD) R&D, collaborating with experts across various disciplines to create, curate, and analyze datasets. Leveraging your expertise in machine learning, quantitative analysis, and artificial intelligence, you'll pioneer data-driven solutions in biological drug development.

Accountabilities:

• Developing and implementing predictive models for biologic drug developability and manufacturability assessment.
• Applying machine learning techniques to analyze and interpret complex datasets related to biologic drug properties and structural characteristics.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including computational and structural biologists and chemists, to integrate data science solutions into drug development processes.
• Staying updated with the latest advancements in machine learning, particularly in the context of healthcare and pharmaceuticals.
• Communicating findings and insights effectively to stakeholders and contributing to decision-making processes.

Essential skills for this role:

• M.Sc. in a relevant field (e.g., mathematics, computer science, engineering).
• Proficiency in machine learning techniques including dimensionality reduction techniques, clustering, generalized linear models, tree-based models, and probabilistic models.
• Strong skills in Python and its data science libraries including scikit-learn, pandas, Numpy, PyTorch, TensorFlow.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Desirable for the role:

• PhD degree in a relevant field (e.g., mathematics, computer science, engineering).
• Proven industry experience, preferably in the biopharmaceutical or healthcare sector.
• Experience with advanced machine learning techniques, including large language models (e.g., BERT, GPT) and graph neural networks.
• Familiarity with biologic drug properties, structural analysis, and drug development processes.
• Experience working with high-performance computing clusters and cloud environments (AWS).
• Proficiency in code management and version control (Git).
