      What You Will Achieve

      Pfizer's Drug Safety Research & Development (DSRD) is a highly innovative, functional and integrated scientific organization committed to the advancement of the overall portfolio. You will be member of a group developing and implementing of the DSRD data strategy. You will collect, organize, process, and curate internal and external scientific data enabling DSRD scientists to answer novel research, portfolio, and regulatory questions.

      You will be recognized as a technical expert and a scientific contributor. With your deep knowledge of the discipline, you will be an active team member who influences at the project team level. You will be using your judgment to adapt standard methods and techniques by applying prior work experience and consulting others. Your ability to plan will help in preparing short-term work activities on projects. Your creativity in developing novel processes and new ideas will be used frequently.

      How You Will Achieve It

      • Assist with DSRD data strategy development and implementation.

      • Collect, organize, process, and curate internal and external scientific data allowing DSRD scientists to answer novel research, portfolio and regulatory questions.

      • Identify and manage reusable DSRD data sets, information, and services that can be integrated with initiatives across DSRD. Develop technical solutions enabling “self-service” data consumers.

      • Help implement and support DSRD data aggregation, analytics and visualization solutions. Work with business partners to develop clear and discrete business use cases and requirements.

      • Become Subject Matter Expert and Point of Contact for information around DSRD processes and associated internal and external data, data systems, and tools.

      • Develop and communicate guidelines and best practices to ensure data standardization and consistency (Reduce data entry points; align terminologies/lexicons, etc.).

      • Act as change agents by educating and encouraging DSRD staff to utilize improved data generation processes, new solutions, and analytics as we move toward an insight driven organization.

      • Develop, leverage, and maintain partnerships with Digital colleagues/initiatives and identify opportunities for collaboration.

      • Research and utilize emerging technologies to improve data quality, availability, and integration.

      Qualifications

      Must-Have

      • Bachelor's degree (Preferably life sciences or bioinformatics) and 3+ years of relevant experience.

      • Master’s degree (MS) and 3+ years of relevant experience .

      • Exceptional communication, organizational change management and problem-solving skills .

      • Practical experience with data management, including processing, curation, standardization, and analysis.

      • Practical experience querying data using SQL (or other query language).

      • Experience working with data visualization solutions (eg, Spotfire, Tableau, etc.).

      • Experience working with business partners soliciting requirements.

      Nice-to-Have

      • Master’s degree (MS) and 4+ years of relevant experience .

      • Experience working with nonclinical data .

      • Knowledge of statistical programming languages (eg, Python, SAS, R, etc.) .

      • Knowledge of machine-learning / Artificial Intelligence solutions, methods and algorithms.


      Work Location Assignment: On Site at Chennai Office
