- Performs hands‐on tasks of an established Data Scientist to contribute to large complex projects with minimal supervision.
- Makes major improvements in the intelligent implementation of personalization by collaborating with marketers, analysts, and strategists to exceed strategic goals of optimizing customer experiences, revenue generation, deepen customer relationship, customer growth, and other business KPIs.
- Peer‐reviews code, writes unit tests, and provides feedback on data pipeline and modeling approaches.
- Develops company A/B test framework, evaluates model quality, conducts test/learn experiments, tests hypotheses, and iteratively improves data science models to optimize corporate KPIs.
- Collaborates with analysts and engineers to specify data requirements. Performs data collection, mining, pre‐processing, normalization, and feature engineering.
- Develops predictive and statistical models. Hyper‐parameter‐tunes, scales, and deploys models. Orchestrates next best actions, maintains Data Science CI/CD framework, and improves decision support systems. Executes processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance.
- Creates audience appropriate documents and presentations with insights, results, and recommendations; and presents those to business partners/stakeholders and non‐technical audiences.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, operations research, economics, or STEM related fields.
- At least one (1) year of prior relevant data science experience.
- Experience with Python, PySpark.
- A good understanding of Machine Learning concepts and algorithms.
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics, operations research, economics, or STEM related fields.
- Proven experience balancing quality of output with short timelines such as developing minimum viable product.
- Experience in agile‐‐sprint‐based approach.
- Experience in hospitality, retail, or customer‐service oriented industry.
- Familiarity with Azure Databricks environment is nice to have.

Minimum - Maximum
$59,600.00 - $89,400.00Please keep in mind that this range represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual salary offer will take into account a wide range of factors, including location.
Approved by CFOMGM Resorts International has embarked on a multi‐year journey in a 1:1 personalization initiative to redefine the casino resort, hospitality, and entertainment experience for guests. The Data Scientist is an exciting opportunity and critical contributor to the mobilization of this initiative. This person will develop and evolve Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning (AI/ML) models, and their orchestrations for the personalization use cases. This is a hands‐on role, resides in the MGM's Commercial Strategy & Consumer Engagement group, and reports to the Senior Manager of Data Science and Commercial Analytics. The Data Scientist collaborates with the Commercial Strategy, Customer Engagement, Marketing, Creative, Product, and Engineering teams. The Data Scientist is responsible for all hands‐on tasks such as data munging, data normalization, feature engineering, modeling, hyper‐parameter tuning, deployment, experimental design, test execution, and measurement.
