- Work on high-visibility or mission-critical aspects of a given program and perform all functional duties independently.
- Oversee the efforts of less senior staff and/or be responsible for the efforts of all staff assigned to a specific job.
- Develop and implement techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into meaningful information using data-oriented programming and visualization software.
- Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets.
- Visualize, interpret, and report data findings.
- Create dynamic data reports.
- Perform software integration or testing, including analyzing and implementing test plans and scripts.
- Utilize scripting languages such as Python and R, and use common packages for data science applications.
- Master's Degree in Information Systems Management, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
- Bachelor's Degree in the same fields, or Associate's Degree with 4 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant focused experience.
- CompTIA Cloud Essentials, Microsoft Technical Associate (MTA), Certificate of Cloud Security (CCSK)
- CompTIA A+
- CompTIA Security+
- EMC Data Science Associate (EMCDSA), Cloudera Certified Data Scientist (CCDH)
- Certified Apache Hadoop Developer
- Microsoft Certified Professional Developer (MCPD)
- Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD)
- Microsoft Certified Solution Expert (MCSE), Private Cloud, Certified
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Ability to learn and apply technical concepts.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and R, and related packages.
- Experience with data science, data mining, statistics, or graph algorithms.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with API building, ETL pipelines, web application servers, or search indexing.
- Experience with programming tools like Python, Jupyter Notebook, Pandas, NumPy, Requests.
- Ability to apply complex mathematical and statistical concepts.
- Experience with statistical and operations research methods.
