      Data Scientist II

      Overview:

      The person in this role will join the Decision Science team, part of the larger Data Science, Analytics, & Enablement (DSAE) organization at SIE. Using data, you will play a crucial role in driving decision-making and delivering impactful insights to stakeholders. You will be responsible for applying advanced analytical techniques, building Machine Learning (ML) models, and using causal inference methods to solve business problems related to platform engagement, product features, and games.

      What you'll be doing:

      • Apply advanced statistical and ML techniques to analyze large datasets, extracting actionable insights.
      • Develop robust predictive models and identify causal relationships using causal inference, ML, and statistical modeling.
      • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business problems, formulate hypotheses, and design experiments.
      • Extract and integrate data from multiple systems, including writing complex SQL queries.
      • Support and deliver results and presentations to stakeholders.
      • Share knowledge and promote the team's work in Data Science, Causal Inference, and ML.
      • Stay updated on latest advancements in Data Science, including Causal Inference, Gen AI, and ML, and share insights with the team.

      What we're looking for:

      • Master's Degree or Ph.D. in Applied Math, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or related field. BA/BS considered with industry experience.
      • Advanced knowledge and experience with ML methods using Python and SQL.
      • Familiarity with development tools like Git and workflow management tools like Airflow.
      • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills.
      • Deep understanding and experience with supervised and unsupervised ML techniques.
      • Knowledge of Causal Inference methods such as propensity score matching, synthetic control, and difference-in-differences.
      • Proficiency in designing and performing hypothesis tests.
      • Knowledge of the gaming industry and relevant titles is a plus.
      • Familiarity with Gen AI tools and pipelines is a plus.

      Base pay range is determined based on market data, location, and individual factors such as experience and skills. The estimated range is $140,600 - $210,800 USD. This role includes benefits like medical, dental, vision, 401(k) matching, paid time off, wellness programs, employee discounts, and potential bonuses. Learn more.
