Job Title: Data Scientist III
Job Location: Pittsburgh, PA
Job Description Contribute to develop data analysis plans. Statistical programming using statistical software for data analysis. Communicate analytical findings to diverse audiences including Principal Investigators, research partners and colleagues. Independently work on projects with minimal input from PI. Lead development, dissemination, and implementation of reproducible statistical programs for a multi-state, multi-year study. Assist in manuscript preparation (graphs, tables, figures) for publication, grant proposals. Perform data curation and analysis on billions of claims and electronic health records, including Medicaid, NVSS Birth Certificate data to create analytic data cohorts (study cohorts). Apply machine learning methods on clinical datasets to identify predictive factors – selecting algorithms, preprocessing data, training models, and evaluating performance to generate actionable insights.
Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Biostatistics, Data Analytics, Mathematics, or a related field plus 1 year of experience as a Data Scientist III or a Data Analyst or related occupation.
Offered salary: $81,883 per year .
