      We are seeing an increasing gap in awareness and adoption of AI in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs), which can lead to a long-term and irreversible digital divide b/w LMICs and High-Income Countries. At Dalberg Data Insights, we democratize AI access for impactful organizations by:

      ABOUT YOU

      You are passionate about building data tools and inclusive data ecosystems, aiming to tackle global challenges from pandemics to climate change and youth unemployment, ensuring inclusivity. With a background as a problem solver and an entrepreneurial spirit, you strive for excellence, driven by curiosity and a rapid learning ability. Your discipline extends to meticulous attention to data systems, and you're dedicated to designing algorithms that leverage (big) data to address critical issues, keeping abreast of the latest in data engineering. Comfortable with any programming language or software, you're eager to adopt new software engineering methods to enhance customer-focused solutions in terms of stability and scalability. You're self-driven, agile, capable of independent work as well as managing multiple projects, and thrive in diverse, multicultural, and multilocation teams.

      Your skills include profound abilities in information design and storytelling, a confident and resourceful nature in high-pressure, growth-oriented settings, and comfort with agile methodologies for iterative improvement on data visualizations and designs. You excel at building algorithms, designing experiments for data integration and analysis to deliver customized reports, applying machine learning and statistical methods for problem-solving, effectively communicating ideas and designs to stakeholders, and automating analyses and authoring sophisticated data pipelines.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

      1. Experience:
        • A minimum of 3 years of experience in data-related problem solving.
        • Proven experience running data projects end-to-end, encompassing conceptualization, data collection, establishing data pipelines, data cleaning, model creation and fine-tuning, and insight extraction, tailored for both internal teams and external customers.
      2. Analytical Skills:
        • Experience in solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches.
        • Proficient knowledge of statistics, such as hypothesis testing and regressions.
      3. Technical Proficiency:
        • Advanced proficiency in Python, with substantial experience in data science libraries including Pandas, Numpy, Scipy, Scikit-learn, Pytorch, or Tensorflow.
        • Proficient coding skills in JavaScript, with an understanding of TypeScript being advantageous.
        • Working knowledge of SQL, various database structures, and a familiarity with pgvector is desirable.
        • Capability in building data pipelines, APIs, and applications with a modular approach, showcasing a quick grasp of new and emerging technologies. A strong understanding of SOLID principles and a commitment to DRY code is essential
      4. Visualization & Front-End Development:
        • A strong sense of graphic design and visual data storytelling, with experience in using BI tools and visualization libraries considered a plus.
        • Proficiency in front-end development, particularly with TypeScript or JavaScript, and a solid understanding of the development process from development to deployment using React.
      5. Communication Skills:
        • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively articulating insights and data-driven strategies to both technical and non-technical audiences.
