      • Full-time, Continuing position

      • Salary HEW 7 + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements

      • Based at the Melbourne CBD campus, and hybrid ways of working

      About You


      The role is responsible for delivering key insights, information and data products to stakeholders across the university by leveraging techniques such as statistical modelling, machine learning and data visualisation. You will work in cross functional teams, established to deliver data and analytics solutions for our stakeholders. A key part of the role is to actively contribute to the development of best practices, methodologies and tools for how data science projects will be delivered in the university.

      To be successful in this position, you’ll have:

      • 2+ years' experience in data analytics or related quantitative roles.

      • Experience in designing, coding, testing, and deploying data science product pipelines. (Preferred technologies include Python, SQL, Snowflake or alike).

      • Experience in data modelling and development in data visualisation tools, e.g. PowerBI.

      • Good interpersonal, consultation, communication and presentation skills and a proven ability to work with and present to diverse stakeholders across the organisation.

      • Strong time management skills including the ability to work across multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

      Office of the Chief Data and Analytics Officer

      Office of the Chief Data & Analytics Officer supports and enables RMIT’s business strategy by leading and driving the data and analytics agenda for the enterprise. This involves being accountable and responsible for:

      • Developing and implementing RMIT’s data and analytics strategy and ensuring ongoing alignment with university

      • Leading information governance framework and activities across RMIT

      • Defining requirements and standards for data and analytics technologies to be delivered by Information Technology

      • Coordinating and governing data management activities for analytics and reporting

      • Developing and coordinating advanced analytics capabilities to resolve key university challenges
