Position Summary

As a Data Scientist on the Retail Strategic Health Analytics team, you'll play a critical role to some of the most impactful projects supporting the Retail Pharmacy at CVS. Much of our work centers on analytics to improve pharmacy staffing outcomes, improving both the colleague and customer experience. Our work involves engaging in a variety of techniques, including but not limited, to time series modeling, unsupervised learning, causal inference, and stochastic simulation. More generally, you will have the following responsibilities:

• Develop, validate, and execute predictive models to investigate problems, detect patterns, and recommend solutions.

• Discover, examine, and interpret large volumes of cross-enterprise and external data in various forms.

• Use data visualization techniques to effectively communicate analytical results and inform business decisions.

• Develop data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data that helps generate insights.

• Document projects including business objectives, data gathering and processing, detailed set of results and analytical metrics.

Required Qualifications

1+ years of relevant analytic experience

Experience programming using Python

Experience in SQL

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in Time Series modeling is a plus.

Proactiveness, collaboration, and eagerness to learn are all highly desired qualities.

Prior experience (academic or professional) with healthcare data and demonstrated interest in improving health outcomes.

Education

Bachelor's, Master's, or equivalent work experience in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Economics, Physics, Engineering, or related discipline.

Master's degree preferred

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
