      The Data Specialist will assist with managing the Information Management system that ensures the Borger Refinery controlled documents are kept current and business records are maintained in accordance with the Corporate Records Management Policy and with standard business practice. Provides functional guidance to the Engineering Records workforce. Provides support for General and Doc Admin groups, Livelink, SAP/DMS, Records Management and Document Management.

      Responsibilities May Include:

      • Responsible for document and records management quality assurance and compliance issues.
      • Managing the lifecycle of controlled documentation and business records, and overseeing the storing, arranging, indexing, and classification of electronic and/or paper-based information.
      • Assists with maintaining records management policies, procedures, and filing systems specific to the refinery.
      • Assists with managing the security and permissions access to information within Livelink.
      • Assists IT Area Lead and Digital Coordinator on system migrations, upgrades, and implementations.
      • Create and maintain Equipment information Folders through the MOC Process, RFIs, and SAP FLOC/Equip Request.
      • Support Mechanical Integrity and Reliability goals by developing and sustaining consistent required documentation for plant equipment and records management.
      • Support TA and Capital Projects with completion of all Functional Location and Equipment Requests, ARC RFI's and the MOC process.
      • Create and Maintain all Functional Locations and Equipment in SAP per the MOC Process, RFIs, PCAFs, and SAP FLOC/Equipment Requests.
      • Manage controlled documents and Legal Holds to assure that documents are kept current and business records are maintained in accordance with the Corporate Records Management Policy.
      • Manage the development of Livelink workflows to improve business work processes.
      • Provide guidance to Employees and Contractors on populating attributes, developing folder and file structure within Livelink.


      Required Qualifications:

      • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
      • High school diploma or GED equivalent
      • 18 years of age or older
      • Previous work experience in a refinery environment
      • Intermediate level of proficiency in Livelink
      • Intermediate level of proficiency in SAP
      • Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office
      • Excellent inter-personal and strong organizational skills

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • 1 or more years of experience in records management such as record storage, filing and retrieval
      • Strong and effective communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels of the organization
      • Ability to plan and coordinate document and records management activities and interface across all plant functions
      • Ability to plan program resource needs to meet objectives
      • Ability to interpret regulatory guidance
      • Ability to organize large amounts of data efficiently
      • Ability to troubleshoot problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions
      • Ability to get work done through others to develop win/win solutions
      • Ability to provide concise, specific feedback and receive feedback without umbrage
      • Strong team skills

      The Borger Refinery is located in Borger, Texas, in the Texas Panhandle, approximately 50 miles north of Amarillo, Texas. Refinery facilities include crude distilling, naphtha reforming, fluid catalytic cracking, alkylation, hydrodesulfurization and delayed coking units. The refinery processes primarily medium sour crude oil produced locally, and heavy sour crude oil produced in Canada, all of which are delivered by pipeline. Borger produces a high percentage of transportation fuels, as well as petroleum coke, NGLs and solvents. Refined products are distributed to customers via pipelines from the refinery to West Texas, New Mexico, Colorado and the Midcontinent region.
