      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Establish and maintain the ongoing operation of the cancer registry
      - Identify, abstract, follow, and report oncology cases as directed by relevant authorities
      - Analyze and prepare reports for medical and administrative staff regarding oncology services
      - Ensure cancer registry activities meet the standards set by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer
      - Assist in the coordination of the Cancer Committee and Tumor Board activities

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of 2+ years of recent oncology clinical abstracting experience
      - Must hold a current Certified Tumor Registrar or Oncology Data Specialist certification
      - Associate's degree in Health Information Management or related field preferred
      - Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-O coding, cancer staging, and database management
      - Ability to communicate effectively in various settings, including with medical staff and colleagues

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - Experience with EPIC software
      - Active membership in a national and/or local cancer registrar association
      - Knowledge of specific state-reporting requirements
      - Familiarity with current data collection requirements from standard setters
      - Experience with remote access and troubleshooting technical issues
