What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform data abstraction from medical records for trauma and burn patients
- Maintain and update the Collector Trauma Registry Database within two months of patient discharge
- Complete and upload quarterly data on injured children to the Maryland Institute for Emergency Medical Service Systems
- Enter charges for trauma activation fees and track missing records
- Train new personnel on accessing and using the Collector Database

What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding is helpful
- Ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and documentation
- Strong communication skills and teamwork orientation

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Completion of AAAMS and ATS registry courses
- Experience with database management systems, particularly Cerner and EPRS
