Job Description

- Be a Subject Matter Expert on the DCRM and DOM processes and understand how they are integrated.
- Understand the difference between a Data Concern, Data Defect, and Data Issue and associated remediation project pathways based on risk scores.
- Identify and resolve data quality concerns via the DCRM process and assist in the technical resolution.
- Project management/coordination of data remediation projects including providing project status, identifying risks, issues, dependencies, and recommending solutions to stakeholders in a succinct manner to drive decision-making and actions.
- Identify, help define, and maintain functional and enterprise data and metadata needs.
- Maintain the quality of the data and ensure it is fit for intended purpose.
- Ensure data security and provide input on/monitor/enforce data guidelines, standards, and policies.
- Help implement and communicate data quality standards.
- Understand current data definitions /data modeling/data profiling/data tracing/data lineage concepts.
- Understand what is a critical data element.
- Working knowledge of databases and SQL and ability to query databases for analysis purposes, when necessary.
- Develop working knowledge of data processes and information systems.
- Help review materials created by the Data Steward Organization to confirm their practicality and technical validity.
- Be knowledgeable of the data architecture and database models.
- Develop knowledge of Consumer Banking and Wealth Management related products and related data domains with focus on Citi Related Services (CRS).
- Experience with Data Management related tools and applications (e.g. Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), Collibra )
- Working knowledge of Agile methodology.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Information Systems, or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
- 5-8 years of combined experience in the Financial Services industry supporting Data Management and Data Quality initiatives, aligning business processes with data, implementing technology solutions, developing or supporting Standards/Policies, and managing data-related remediation efforts.
- Ability to liaise with stakeholders at both business and technical levels: Data Consumers, Data Providers, Data Owners, Senior Management.
- Excellent communication skills (writing, verbal, presentation).
- Ability to adapt and work in a rapidly changing environment.
- Strong business analytical, critical thinking & problem-solving skills and ability to understand complex data issues, policies, regulatory requirements and factors impacting the designated data domain.
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting and PMP are a plus.

Citi established its Citi Data Governance Policy (CDGP) to govern and manage data in compliance with regulatory expectations. The Policy sets forth the minimum requirements for the implementation of a consistent and controlled approach to create and use data as a critical corporate asset. The Policy also establishes a Governance Model and Data Operating Model (DOM) for Data Governance and Management. All Citi employees, contractors, and personnel with responsibility for the ownership, production, and consumption of data must manage data in accordance with the CDGP.
This position is with the PBWM – U.S. Personal Banking Data Steward Organization within PBWM’s Federated Chief Data Office (FCDO).
As a Data/Information Management Sr. Analyst (Data Steward), your goal is to ensure data is accurate, meets data quality standards, moves through technology systems as intended, and fit for purpose across PBWM. The successful Data Steward candidate will be aligned to the Citi Retail Services (CRS) Data Domain to support Data Owners and Technology across data management activities and to ensure consistent execution of data stewardship activities in alignment with the DOM. To improve data quality, the Data Steward is also responsible for data remediation via Citi’s Data Concern Remediation Management (DCRM) process.
