      The role
      As a Data Support Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary where you will be key in providing accurate data to ensure safe working practices are carried out within the dockyard to support our MOD customer.


      Day to day, you’ll manage and maintain the company’s Computer Aided Facilities Management system in regard to registered nuclear radiological safety and non-safety asset records in accordance with FMSP contract.


      As a Data Support Engineer responsibilities will include:

      • Acting as a super user for the system in order to support all users and represent the Support Team at various forum, working parties and meetings as appropriate
      • Producing, developing, maintaining and controlling maintenance schedules
      • Supporting the business to comply with contractual and regulatory requirements in making recommendations on work priorities, conflicting maintenance issues, maintenance approaching Maintenance Tolerance Date (MTD), process changes and strategies, and with, as appropriate, Plant Managers, Maintenance Managers, Supervisors and the Design Authority
      • Delivering and sustaining exceptional customer service to all Computer Aided Facilities Management users with regards to support requests for instance with training, data requests, maintenance planning, re-scheduling, job-plan updates and work order cancellation

      This is a full-time role (36 hours) with an expectation to be on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard once a month therefore we are flexible with where you are based.

      Essential experience of the Data Support Engineer:

      • Conversant in the use of the main MS Office applications specifically MS Excel and Outlook. (Essential)
      • Experience of Computer-Aided Facilities Management systems or database/software records maintenance and management (Highly Desirable)
      • Experience of Crystal reporting and SQR - Crystal info report writer (Desirable)
      • Experience of delivering training, particularly systems training to users/students (Desirable)

      Qualifications for the Data Support Engineer:

      • Educated to Level 3 in a STEM subject (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) e.g. A Level or equivalent.

      The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role. Dual UK citizenship considered.
