Data Architecture and Modeling: Develop, maintain, and optimize data architecture, models, and database designs across platforms and applications.
ETL Development: Design and implement ETL procedures for intake of data from both internal and outside sources; as well as ensure data is verified and quality is checked.
Data Warehouse Management: Assist in designing and setting up data warehousing tools. Create and support the ETL to facilitate bringing data into the data warehouse using ETL tools.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize performance of the database, data warehouse, and ETL environment to ensure reliable and efficient data load and extraction.
Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, data analysts, and decision-makers to respond to their data-related needs and to ensure data consistency and security.
Documentation: Document the company's database and data warehouse schema and entities.
Compliance and Security: Ensure the data warehouse and all related systems comply with legal regulations and privacy standards.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL, and reporting/analytic tools
- Experience with SQL and SQL-based technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python)
- Experience with ETL tools (e.g., SSIS, Azure Data Factory).
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong analytical abilities.
- Good communication skills to translate data findings to non-technical team members.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Proven experience as a Data Warehouse Engineer or a similar role in data management.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure) and big data tools is preferred.
The Data Warehouse Engineer is responsible for the full life cycle of back-end development of the data warehouse including designing, developing, testing, and maintaining data architecture and databases. This role involves understanding business requirements, defining technical requirements, and providing automated solutions to deliver business insights.

Rate of Pay: $86,870 - $112,932
