      Job summary

      To provide the Trust with accurate, validated and consolidated data. Including the use of programming in Transact SQL (T-SQL) to extract data and facilitate data migration in a format that can be used for reporting purposes, or for other staff members within the Trust or external agencies.

      To develop and document the new data warehouse to become the main source of patient information required for all the Trust's reporting requirements.

      To extract patient level data from the Trust's information systems and manipulate it into a format that is helpful and accessible.

      To participate in the development and implementation of the Trust's information systems, and data quality programme.

      To write and automate scripts in SQL. To document process for running automated scripts and train staff within the Contracts, Performance and Information team in these processes enabling them to run scripts as and when required without supervision.

      To attend meetings and contribute to projects regarding information and data quality issues as directed by the Data Warehouse Manager.

      Main duties of the job

      To write advanced programs in SQL to create extracts and transform data into logical, structured formats for use by members of the EPR Programme for reporting and analytical purposes.

      To analyse both simple and complex information requirements, design comprehensive solutions, and develop methods for their effective implementation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

      To develop, create, and maintain a suite of reports as directed by the Data Warehouse Manager that support the Trust's operational and strategic objectives.

      To develop and meticulously document automated processes for loading and maintaining the data warehouse and other systems, ensuring these processes can be easily maintained and operated by other team members.

      To adapt, design, and enhance information systems to meet evolving specifications, adhering to best practices and quality standards.

      To ensure that all activities are performed within the defined level of competence, proactively seeking guidance from managers/supervisors when necessary, and continually updating skills and knowledge in

      To uphold confidentiality at all times, ensuring that sensitive information is handled with the utmost care and discretion, in line with Trust policies and procedures.
