- Design, install, document, manage and maintain staging, test and production databases for maximum performance, scalability, flexibility, and reliability.
- Review and approve all proposed changes to database schema, tables, stored procedures, user-defined functions, SSRS reports, etc.
- Analyze and recommend database improvements.
- Evaluate and recommend new database technologies.
- Collect data in order to evaluate and optimize DBMS performance.
- Monitor system resource utilization and trending for future capacity planning.
- Install, test and maintain DBMS and application software including patches, fixes and version upgrades.
- Develop, manage and test database and information system backup and recovery plans.
- Design and implement processes and procedures to reduce and eliminate database outages and downtime.
- Monitor and support availability groups and failover configurations.
- Monitor and support transactional replication.
- Design, implement and maintain database security strategies that provide the appropriate level of security for users and applications.
- Ensure appropriate security and privacy measures are implemented on technology solutions to protect company data from intentional or accidental misuse.
- Manage and audit database permissions and access.
- Implement and maintain database security and encryption.
- Analyze query plans and tune application performance by optimizing SQL code.
- Monitor database logs for hardware, memory or disk space/capacity issues and take appropriate action.
- Review and implement database parameter and configuration changes for optimal performance with the host operating system.
- Develop and maintain scripts to automate SQL administration tasks.
- Establish and enforce rules, standards and policies for overall use of databases to ensure compliance.
- Recommend procedure modifications or improvements.
- Responsible for instance planning.
- Stay current on the latest technology trends and innovation to provide insight into strategic and tactical decisions as needed.

Duties:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Database Management, Computer Engineering or related field plus 7 years of experience in job offered or related occupation.
Requires 7 years of experience in the following:
RDBMS: Oracle 12.1, 19c (maintenance/install/upgrade/patching); Oracle Applications 11.5.10, 12.1.3, 12.2.9 or above (maintenance/install/upgrade/patching); OEM 12c/13C, Weblogic, GoldenGate (data replication), RMAN (backup/recover), Dataguard (failover/switchover); Oracle Linux and RHEL 7 or higher, and Windows Server 2003 or higher; Oracle Applications Foundation, Financials others, upgrades, adpatch/adop patching, concurrent manager/PCP, custom installation and other EBS administrative tasks; SQL, PL/SQL, Shell Script, SQL Plus, Toad, SQL Developer, VNC, WinScp, FTP.
Any amount of experience in OCI cloud infrastructure.
