      Overview

      This is an exciting opportunity to support a cloud-based, advanced analytics system for U.S. Government agency with intelligence and law enforcement responsibilities. We are seeking a Postgres Database Administrator (DBA) to provide database administration support to this project. The work requires PostgreSQL database administration across multiple Amazon AWS GovCloud environments. You will work on systems enhancements, development and maintenance. General database duties (e.g., backups, restorations), SQL knowledge and ability to create and maintain database triggers, functions and stored procedures is a must.

      This is a hybrid work schedule opportunity.


      Responsibilities

      • Instrumenting and monitoring databases and other systems operations to support a product that meets the mission needs of the USCG and delivers its intelligence capabilities to the people who need it most.
      • Working with cutting edge database and system technologies in an agile and dynamic environment to provide critical services.

      Qualifications

      • Active Top Secret, SCI Eligible and must be willing to take a CI Polygraph (TS/SCI).
      • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a technical discipline (or equivalent) related field.
      • PostgreSQL experience.
      • Minimum of eight (8) years' in Database Administration.
      • Experience with other major database managements systems (i.e. Oracle, DB2)
      • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
      • Minimum IATT LVL II (e.g. Security+ certification, but can obtain on the job).
      • Experience in a cloud environment (preferably Amazon AWS).
