      MCA is seeking a motivated Datacenter Operations Engineer to aid in support of MCA’s private cloud datacenter. MCA’s Datacenter provides both Private Cloud Services and Physical Colocation services to several of it’s customers in a state of the art redundant system datacenter located on premise. This is an onsite position.

      Job Duties:

      • Overseeing the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of hardware and software systems supporting the datacenter. This includes servers, storage, networking equipment, and virtualization platforms.
      • Support and maintenance of Datacenter Electric systems (Generators, Automatic Transfer switches, Schieder electric/APC UPS and PDU systems)
      • Ensuring the optimal functioning of cooling systems to maintain appropriate temperature and humidity levels.
      • Implementing and maintaining monitoring systems to track the performance of datacenter systems and proactively address potential issues.
      • Support and maintenance of VMware environment housed on Dell infrastructure.
      • Deployment of Windows or Linux OS Virtual machines within VMware.
      • Developing and maintaining disaster recovery plans, testing recovery procedures, and ensuring business continuity.
      • Supporting and maintaining the datacenter's networking infrastructure.
      • Creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for all systems and procedures.
      • Providing 24/7 on-call support for datacenter emergencies and outages.

      Job requirements:

      • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field.
      • Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), Data Center Certified Associate (DCCP) or relevant knowledge, are highly desired.
      • Observability systems experience, SolarWinds preferred.
      • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation for datacenter emergencies.
      • Minimum of 3-5 years supporting a redundant, large-scale datacenter.
      • Valid Driver's License.
      • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform basic tool use.
