      The program coordinator is a pivotal position in Dungarvin’s programming. Emphasis is on coordination of Self-Employment services and Day Program services.

      Job Description

      The Day Program Coordinator supports individuals through a variety of services, including recreation, education/vocational programs, program services, and health and safety initiatives. This role works closely with the Program Director to ensure consistency in care, quality programming, and strong communication among team members.

      Key responsibilities include:

      • Assisting with the coordination of daily operations

      • Supporting the health and safety of individuals served

      • Ensuring community engagement and meaningful participation

      • Creating daily pick-up/drop-off schedules and monthly activity calendars

      • Filling in for absent staff or vacant positions as needed

      • Performing administrative tasks as assigned

      Qualifications

      • Education or training in working with developmentally disabled adults and/or equivalent experience, is preferred. Prior experience in day program services is a plus.
      • Must be responsible, reliable, and able to carry out job functions without direct supervision. Flexibility is needed in working nights and week-ends.
      • The Program Coordinator must have a valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record.
      • Current auto liability insurance is required.

      This position is designated as an Unlimited Driving Position --defined as one that requires an employee to drive a motor vehicle as a part of his/her Dungarvin work, including vehicles owned or leased by Dungarvin, and/or to drive a vehicle in which a person served is transported. Any employee in this position must comply with the requirements outlined in the POLICY AND PROCEUDRE ON DRIVING AND THE USE OF MOTOR VEHICLES (A-8).
