      Under the general supervision of the Plumbing Foreman, performs a variety of plumbing activities on new and existing installations. Work involves the installation, services and maintenance of waste, vent and soil systems, domestic waste systems, heating systems, chilled piping systems, medical gas systems and fire sprinkler systems.

      Responsibilities

      • 1. Service and maintains waste, vent and soil systems throughout the Hospital complex.
        • 1.1 Installs waste, vent and soil systems per code standards correctly and in a timely manner.
      • 2. Lays out, installs, services and maintains domestic water systems throughout the Hospital complex.
        • 2.1 Installs domestic water systems per applicable codes properly and in a timely manner.
      • 3. Service and maintains heating piping systems, radiation and chill water systems throughout the Hospital complex
        • 3.1 Correctly installs heating and chilled water piping and equipment in accordance with all applicable codes, in a timely manner.
      • 4. Performs general activities which support the overall goals of the Plumbing section. Properly uses safety policies and procedures, including Material Safety Sheets and proper procedures for asbestos discovery.
        • 4.1 On a daily basis completes all required paperwork promptly in accordance with established Hospital procedures and uses Hospital forms if applicable.

        Qualifications

        EDUCATION


        Position requires high school diploma plus training equivalent to a state approved apprenticeship program.


        EXPERIENCE


        Three (3) to five (5) years experience with a P2 Plumbing license in plumbing related activities


        LICENSURE


        Required: P2 Plumbing License Required; Recommended Licnses: MGV (Medical Gas & Vacuum), FRP (Fire Protection) and HTG (Heating & Cooling)
