      Who we are looking for:

      Atkore, a recent recipient of a Great Place to Work© certification, for the 3rd year in a row, is currently searching for a PVC Production Specialist for the Day shift - to be based out of Molalla, OR. Bi-lingual (Spanish-English) strongly preferred.

      The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent. Prior success as a Production Specialist or equivalent position at Atkore International and experience in lean manufacturing or a business system-based company is a plus.

        What you’ll do:

        Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

        • Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety procedures
        • Analyze and report department performance on production volume and quality
        • Proactively identify and implement process and quality improvements and initiate corrective and/or preventive actions when out of compliance
        • Coach and mentor shift leads
        • Schedule and manage the production team within area of responsibility;
        • Support/implement training programs to ensure employees are trained and in compliance with all procedures; coach and counsel to improve results, conduct ongoing performance appraisals
        • Liaison with employees and management teams to identify ways to continually foster and promote a positive and safe work environment by direct involvement with all levels of employees
        • Ensure efficient collaboration and coordination between relevant departments
        • All other duties as assigned

        Qualifications Include:

          • Bi-lingual Spanish-English strongly preferred.
          • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
          • Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing is required,
          • Management experience is a plus; MUST be a team leader with strong leadership skills
          • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
          • Computer literacy and experience with Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook
          • Strong understanding of basic math required for quick and accurate counting and calculations
          • Ability to manage a variety of concurrent tasks in a fast-paced work environment
          • Attention to detail, time management, planning, and organizational skills
          • Effective decision making and problem solving abilities
          • Strong initiative and adaptable to change
          • Must be able to thrive in a team environment
          • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
          • Need to be detail oriented and have safe work practice

        Within 3 months, you’ll:

        • Complete any required training.
        • Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role.
        • Be well-versed in Atkore’s Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations.
