      An opportunity has arisen for a DBA Officer within the Cloud & Platform Team.

      This post will support and maintain the Leeds City Council’s SQL Server estate. Responding to and resolving incidents and work orders, raised by business customers and developers. Perform daily proactive database checking, such as database backups and scheduled jobs outcomes.
      Administration tasks would include or be related to installation, configuration, maintaining and securing of databases. Some project work would be required, as well as performing deployment of database changes from developers and suppliers.

      Leeds City Council’s Integrated Digital Service is looking for a Database Administrator and is particularly interested in candidates who have experience and knowledge in:
      • Installation, configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring and maintenance of physical databases
      • Performance monitoring and tuning
      • Security Management across the database estate
      • Database backup and recovery
      • Incident and problem resolution
      • Database/repository design for both structured and unstructured data

      Testing and implementation of service packs, patches, releases and upgrades in one or more of the following technologies:
      • Microsoft SQL Server 2012 or higher
      • Oracle Database support
