      The AWS Brick and Network Deployment (BaND) team is searching for a passionate and talented Data Center Operations Technician to drive Data Center capacity planning and delivery in AMER. You will work with teams across the AWS Organization to plan and deliver customer capacity to the local data center installation & deployment technicians to facilitate smooth capacity execution. You will assess the demand requirements along with available network resources to determine and drive prime solutions for our customers. You will work with stakeholders to complete pre-requisites necessary to deliver critical capacity.

      Key job responsibilities
      * Work closely with Infra Delivery Install & Deployment Technicians, Supply Chain & Procurement, and Technical Program Manager teams to ensure fast, smooth delivery of on-demand data center capacity.
      * Knowledge of network cabling and optic types.
      * Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
      * Familiarity with common networking terms.
      * Ensure adherence to timelines and SLAs.
      * Manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
      * Automate tasks, create and modify tooling, or propose new SOPs.
      * Participate in global metric reviews and lessons learned.
      * Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role.
      * Keep the customer experience as the primary focus.

      About the team
      Brick and Network Deployment team ensures data center network and port capacity is available for incoming customer racks (demand). Customer racks (also known as server racks) need this capacity (networking racks) to gain access to the AWS network to provide service capacity for AWS customers. Provisioners are responsible for coordinating with the Build’s Infra TIPMs, IDND, Infra Delivery Install & Deployment, and Supply Chain to ensure data center capacity is planned and delivered on time.

      We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

      Herndon, VA, USA- 2+ years of experience managing projects in a Data Center or Networking environment.
      - 2+ years of experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.- Excellent written composition and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of SQL, Excel, and Tableau.
      - Knowledge of best practices and emerging technologies, related to infrastructure (i.e., network, data center, hardware, software).
