Main duties of the job
The Digital Clinical System (DCS) is a project between Mid Cheshire Hospitals Foundation Trust and East Cheshire NHS Trust to create an innovative electronic patient record. The system will replace many paper-based records and some existing IT systems. This is now live across the trust.
This role will ensure nurses are adequately represented, recognising the needs of nursing in the project, supporting all nursing specialities, informing the project on clinical nursing requirements effecting quality, care, and safety aspects in the future development of the system.
Support the development of new strategies, clinical protocols and workflows, and implementing training to support digital working. Ensure harmony with existing Policies, Procedures and Guidelines and the governance of these across Mid and East Cheshire.
They will facilitate change management activities required to support future development of DCS and related clinical processes. They will be an expert within their clinical domain and have an in-depth knowledge of clinical best practice.
To be a champion for the nursing workforce and to prepare and support colleagues to be ready to embrace our exciting digital future and realise the benefits of digital enablement.
Provide visible leadership, role-modelling best practice standards of care and behaviour and really demonstrate a passion for quality improvement.
