      Job Description

      As the Controller, you'll partner closely with the General Manager and Regional Controller to oversee dealership accounting operations, maintain financial accuracy, and ensure compliance with company policies.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Partner with department leaders to improve revenue, control expenses, and support customer and employee satisfaction.
      • Oversee all dealership accounting functions and maintain accurate, up-to-date financial records.
      • Enforce company policies and maintain internal controls to ensure compliance.
      • Lead and develop office staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
      • Review and reconcile balance sheet accounts monthly, resolving discrepancies promptly.
      • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of daily operating control (DOC) reports and monthly financial statements.
      • Assist in preparing dealership budgets and financial forecasts.
      • Audit accounting schedules regularly and escalate issues to the Regional Controller.
      • Review dealership schedules monthly and correct any inaccuracies.
      • Maintain a high standard of workflow efficiency, accountability, and accuracy across the office.

      Qualifications

      • 5+ years of experience as a Controller in an automotive dealership environment.
      • Proven leadership ability with experience managing and developing office staff in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
      • Strong knowledge of end-of-month responsibilities, including preparing and reviewing financial statements, reconciling schedules, and finalizing the month-end close.
      • Demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, account reconciliation, and month-end processes.
      • Solid understanding of internal controls and policy compliance to maintain financial accuracy and audit readiness.

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Prior experience with a public automotive group, with a strong grasp of corporate reporting standards.
      • Background working with high-line brands, particularly Audi or Porsche.

      Additional Information

      Compensation (Salary / Bonus):

      • $100,000 to $120,000+ / year
      • Total compensation package based on experience and qualifications

      Schedule:

      • FULL-TIME
      • 5 days a week / 2 days off
      • Sundays off
