      Job Description & Summary

      Our Deals Strategy & Operations (DSO) team offers strategic advice to a broad range of stakeholders - regional and international corporates, leading private equity houses, family offices, major banks, funds, government entities, and companies undertaking mergers and acquisitions or investment opportunities. We deliver deep strategic, commercial and operational insights to help clients think through investment/divestment decisions about businesses. We advise our clients on critical operational and transformational challenges, and evaluate business plans and company strategies against market performance and competitor strength, to deliver a rigorous appraisal of a business’ commercial and operational outlook. Our main focus is to deliver top strategy-led solutions to our clients.

      Role Responsibilities

      As a Deals Strategy & Operations Senior Associate dedicated to the Energy and Sustainability sectors, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

      • Solving clients' problems by structuring analysis, applying analytical frameworks, and conceptualizing strategy development

      • Conducting market entry strategies and commercial due diligence

      • Taking ownership of components of engagements and collaborating with team members to deliver thorough and well-structured reports

      • Researching, aggregating and analyzing data; synthesizing large quantities of information; extracting meaningful insights to provide recommendations to our clients

      • Supporting internal business development activities

      • Actively work on engagement supporting Managers and Senior Managers

      Requirements

      • Relevant experience in management consulting with a focus on advising governments and major stakeholders in the energy, utilities, power, mining, nuclear and sustainability sectors

      • Relevant experience within the M&A space, preferably from a professional services background

      • Has done research for company on potential acquisitions

      • Participated in conducting business plans

      • Completed market research for large size organizations

      • Comprehensive understanding of feasibility studies

      • Eager to participate in business development opportunities and initiatives

      • Passionate about delivery of work and has a strong desire to succeed by learning from colleagues and creating collaborative relationships at all levels

      • Motivated to build excellent working relationships and meet deadlines successfully in a fast paced & dynamic environment

      • Confident communicator and can deliver messages with impact to a wide variety of audiences

      • Keen to leverage technology enabled and digital tools to achieve efficient delivery for our clients

      • Strong analytical skills and an ability to understand key business drivers

      • Ability to take initiative to manage numerous projects simultaneously under time constraints

      • Your flexibility to travel 40%-60% of the time. This means we may require you to work away from your base office location on a regular basis and frequent overnight stays may be required. Where possible, we will take your preferences into account and strike a balance between meeting your career development/personal needs and those of the business and our clients.
