Job Description

- Compiling the necessary reporting documentation for the Masters Office
- Obtaining the relevant documents from stakeholders for the Masters Office
- Fully support the Executor with all deceased estate administration work
- Placing advertisements relating to estates
- Interact with clients and meet with clients
- Obtaining balances and information for the purposes of estate accounts
- Preparing relevant documents for the transfer of estate assets and payment of claims
- Preparing of Liquidation and Distribution Account
- Preparing and balancing Cash Statements
- Preparing final documents for lodgement at the Masters Office
- Occasionally visiting the Masters Office to submit or obtain documents
- Filing documents electronically and in the safe
- Ordering files
- Answering telephone calls and directing to the correct team member
- Ensuring that all estate related queries are dealt with proactively and correctly
- Maintaining estate cash books
- Meeting team members’ expectations in terms of work delivery and following instructions
- Load payments and ensure that all payments related to the estate is loaded and executed
- Matric / Grade 12 / National Certificate
- BCom Degree plus Honours Degree / LLB or BCompt Honours
- A relevant certificate or course in Deceased Estate Administration
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience plus team leader or senior management experience in the deceased estates role
- Proficient in MS Office
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans
- Team player
