- Organize and maintain the Decision Support HPM cost accounting system including but not limited to: a. Completes a full monthly reconciliation from PeopleSoft GL to HPM DSS b. Maintain product standards and reconciliation process for variable direct labor & supply cost for each cost category on a monthly basis. c. Maintain indirect cost allocation methodology (step-down) including departmental statistics and auditing. d. Maintain the coordination of up-dating the charge description (monthly) as it relates to product standards and new products. e. Identifies and maintains schedule of remapped expense and other operating revenue accounts f. Identifies and maintains schedule of 'dead end' expense accounts g. Maintains, audits and uploads daily EPIC feeds.
- Develops and maintains with guidance from the Director standardized reporting formats.
- Update the Decision Support HPM structure with any changes in the general ledger (PeopleSoft) including: a. Reconciliation of Decision Support HPM to General Ledger Source System (PeopleSoft) b. Reconciliation of Decision Support HPM to Financial Statements. c. Reconciliation of Decision Support HPM to Departments. d. Maintain Chart of Accounts that include adding direct/indirect cost centers, inactivating cost centers and adding accounts.
- Produces a quarterly reconciliation of HPM DSS reporting content to DSS financial information resident in the network Business Intelligence [BI] reporting platform.
- Assist Director DSS in developing analytical templates for financial modeling and productivity reporting.
- Provide analytical support for Care Transformation Service Teams (CTS) initiatives as directed by the Director DSS.
- Other duties and/or projects as assigned.
- Adheres to HMH's Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Math or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Healthcare Finance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Google platform applications and other similar programs.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in hybrid/work from home environment.
- Detail oriented and able to multi-task as needed.
- Occasional evening or weekend work as required.
- Master's degree in finance, math or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Healthcare with specialization in financial/operations analysis, financial systems, financial systems and related functions.

The Decision Support Analyst is responsible for maintaining the Syntellis Healthcare HPM Decision Support System (DSS) and the Financial Reporting application and reporting content for each individual hospital in the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) network. Also provides analytical support for the HMH Care Transformation Services (CTS) teams.
This position is hybrid. The ideal candidate will have a specialization in HPM or similar cost accounting systems.
