Decommissioning Engineer About Santos Santos is a global energy company committed to increasingly cleaner energy and fuels production, with operations across Australia, Papua New Guinea, Timor-Leste and North America. * Decommissioning Engineer * Perth Based * Offshore Projects Chandler Macleod, in collaboration with Santos, is currently seeking an experienced Decommissioning Engineer to join the Santos team in Perth, WA. This role is to provide offshore/facilities engineering support for upcoming Santos offshore facility inspection, removal and disposal campaigns. Core Accountabilities: * Apply thinking in area of expertise through industry and company knowledge – develop, advise, recommend and deliver plans aligning to Santos and project requirements. * Management of the EPRD Contractor during engineering for and delivery of planned campaigns. * Mitigate or minimise risk to the business through proactive collaboration within the wider Santos decommissioning team. * Effective and timely engagement and collaboration with internal Santos stakeholders, external consultants, community stakeholders and service providers. * Complies with all industry, company standards and processes. * Actively seeks opportunities for continuous improvement and driving efficiencies. Role Specific Accountabilities: * Ability to integrate into a multi-disciplinary team and work to prioritized project objectives and ey project milestones complete with due dates. * Key involvement with or ownership of activities relating to offshore facilities decommissioning including: * Manage interfaces associated with decommissioning (internal and external stakeholders). * Manage and support contractors / consultants in undertaking general engineering and related studies in preparation for decommissioning activities * Apply expertise to the transport and disposal of decommissioned equipment * Participate in constructability workshops, risk assessments, HAZIDs and operational reviews for decommissioning projects. * Reviews of technical and project documentation. * Preparation for and coordination of offshore/onshore campaign related activities. * Writes clear concise, accurate, scopes of work for offshore/onshore project work scopes. * Ability to support in the preparation of regulatory documentation required to obtain government approval for decommissioning activities. * Ensure project execution is managed in compliance with regulatory commitments. * Provide support in the forecasting, phasing and tracking of project expenditure. * Assigned focal point for engineering, study and execution campaign work scopes. * Support offshore execution as Offshore Project Engineer or Client Site Representative. * Assists is the coordination of project closeout activities. This assignment is initially offered for 12 months, engaged via Chandler Macleod. Location for this assignment is Perth, working full-time office hours. About You * Hold a Bachelor of Engineering * Have Project Management / project engineering experience preferred * Extensive O&G industry experience * Experience in offshore oil and gas projects * Project Management and/or project engineering * Client Site Representative experience - offshore construction / decommissioning (desirable) * Experience working for either/both offshore installation contractor and Operator (desirable) * Onshore decommissioning experience including remediation/rehabilitation (desirable) * Experience in offshore diving related activities (desirable) How to Apply If you have the required skills, experience, and qualifications, register your interest today!
