Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Decontamination Health Care Support Worker to become part of our team within the Endoscopy Unit at Lymington New Forest Hospital. This is a full-time post (37.5hrs per week).
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic individual. We are a JAG accredited unit consisting of 2 Endoscopy rooms undertaking diagnostic procedures.
State of the art decontamination facilities support the unit to work efficiently and consistently meeting quality standards set by JAG.

Main duties of the job
*Provide high standards in the decontamination of endoscopes in line with relevant national and local legislation and policies.
*Maintain the smooth and efficient running of the decontamination area.
*Actively assist in the delivery of individual programmes of care to patients under direction of qualified nursing staff.
*Participate as an effective member of the Endoscopy team.
*Follow instructions and report changes.
*Understand the need for effective communication and carry this out effectively.
