      Cochlear is looking for an experienced Delphi developer to join their Clinical Software team in Mechelen, Belgium. The Clinical Software team is part of the global Customer Software department with development offices in Sweden, Belgium, India and Australia.

      The Delphi Developer will be developing world leading med tech software for implantable hearing aid solutions. You will work with a product that really makes a difference to people´s life. You will see the software you have developed being used in the clinics to adjust the Cochlear Implant system and help children and adults to be able to live a full life with restored hearing.

      More specifically you will:

      • Develop medical device desktop applications built in Delphi
      • Mentor and lead other team members
      • Contribute to the architectural design of the platforms, products and systems
      • The delivery of discrete work packages and/or delivery against tasks
      • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a credible understanding of the user and business needs and translate this into exceptional software
      • Writing and implementing efficient code and documentation, enforcing standards and practices with the software development team
      • Identifying, recommending and implementing process and policy improvements within the IT environment
      • Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to help resolve customer issues
      • Contribute with ideas on systems and process methods to improve deliverables


      Essential Skills

      • 5 years experience in Delphi development
      • Solid understanding of object-oriented development and design.
      • Strong experience working with Agile delivery methodologies
      • Good writing and presentation skills
      • Strong interpersonal and time management skills
