      REQ ID: 118376
      JOB TITLE: Demand Forecasting Analyst
      SALARY: Up to £48,000
      POSTING END DATE: 31/08/2023
      LOCATION: Coventry

Beyond Property, Purchasing, HR and IT, more than being part of our Finance or Marketing teams, beyond even Sales and Service, every role in every business area offers unique opportunities to make an impact on the future of mobility and the automotive industry.

The role of Demand Forecasting Analyst as part of the Demand Forecasting team in the Commercial function is to consult with numerous cross-functional stakeholders to construct robust and reliable volume scenarios to support the company’s business planning process. The role requires the need to be agile and creative to capture scenarios outside of standard processes as well as ensuring consistency across the wider team through repeatable, embedded processes.

      WHAT TO EXPECT

      • You will be required to support the Programme teams across the Business in preparing Volume Scenarios to support regular requests to model the impact of potential changes to Programme assumptions and life-cycle plans
      • You will work closely with colleagues in Product Marketing, and colleagues in other functions of the Business with specific responsibility for the same Nameplates, to ensure that the Business is provided with a robust, reliable and up-to-date Volume Forecast
      • You will need to develop a comprehensive understanding of the Nameplates you are responsible for, in terms of historical performance and future outlook, as well as the principles and processes used in effective and efficient Volume Planning
      • You will be responsible for ensuring effective governance of the Volume Planning Process for your specific Nameplates, as well as supporting the Team in wider Planning topics
      • Ultimately the aim is to construct robust and reliable, repeatable processes that can be embedded into the wider Planning processes, but the need to be agile and creative to capture scenarios outside of standard processes will also form a significant part of the role
      • You will be required to support the Demand Forecasting & Optimisation Manager in all aspects of their role related to Volume Planning

      WHAT YOU WILL NEED

      Essential:

      • Proven stakeholder engagement, with the ability to influence at senior and operational level across multiple Functions (examples Product Marketing, Compliance, Finance) – ensuring that actionable insight is embraced by key stakeholders
      • Advanced working knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint and proven ability to work with multiple data sources and interrogate them to provide valuable insight and analysis
      • Strong and proven organisational and action tracking abilities, coupled with a willingness to engage with functions in and beyond Commercial, and a desire to evolve the role into a highly valuable planning asset
      • Understanding of Commercial Planning Processes and internal drivers of demand, and the subsequent ability to identify the elements and factors that can influence and adjust demand in order to support multiple JLR objectives, such as achieving Compliance and increasing Variable Profit
      • Proven experience of data interpretation and manipulation, the ability to recognise the base position and variances away from these positions, and good knowledge of the variables in the market that are driving these variances
      • Good understanding of Product Marketing processes, including Programme Gateways and the creation and maintenance of the whole-life-plan

      SO WHY US?

Bring all this to the home of premium innovation, and you’ll find the opportunities to further your career with a world-class team, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, membership of a competitive pension plan and performance related bonus scheme. All this and more makes JLR the perfect place to continue your journey.

This role may offer the opportunity for hybrid working where you can split your time between working from home and in the office. At JLR, hybrid working is a voluntary, non-contractual arrangement providing employees with more choice and flexibility around how, when and where they work, if suitable for their role.
