      Position Overview

      The Novelis North America (NNA) is seeking a Demand Planning Analyst. The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for providing an accurate product line demand forecast that will allow for synchronized production of plant and supplier operations, deployment of stock, reduction of inventories and maximization of customer service.

      Responsibilities

      • Collaborate with the Commercial and Product Line Demand Lead to develop, monitor, and improve forecast accuracy for product line(s).
      • Generate an unconstrained rolled-up product line forecast to be included in Novelis North America (NNA) Demand Plan for S&OP.
      • Implement S&OP Constrained demand plan by translating to a SKU level forecast and develop customer allocation strategies.
      • Provide direction to the Account Management Specialists to allocate orders to align with the S&OP constrained demand plan. Collaborates with both Product Line Demand Lead and Commercial to refine forecasts and demand expectations.
      • Ensures understanding of forecasts and communicates variances in a timely fashion.
      • Performs data analysis and takes the findings to the next step by being able to interpret the data to provide recommendations to drive business decisions. Ownership for forecast accuracy metrics. Develop and implement a forecast improvement action plans with Product Line Demand Lead.
      • Provide leadership for the process development, tool development, and standard methodologies for order entry and forecasting to ensure efforts contribute to the attainment of business objectives.
      • Customer fulfillment tasks include coordinating customer orders within the plan and booking guidelines, customer contact, communicating priorities to plants.
      • Perform the duties of the Product Line Demand Lead in their absence, leading forecast meetings, performing analysis, and reporting.

      Minimum Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field required
      • Supply Chain professional certification preferred
      • 2+ years of supply chain experience
      • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
      • Strong Excel skills (intermediate level)
      • Experience working in an order entry and forecasting system, SAP Order Entry and Demand Planning experience preferred
      • The successful candidate will have shown analytical skills with the ability to communicate sophisticated quantitative analysis in a concise and practical manner
