      The Opportunity:

      A Denial Prevention Process Improvement role must effectively deliver and advise on best practice workflow and provide proactive service towards decreasing the Denial Write-off and First Pass Denial measurement and unify our Client’s revenue cycle through Process Improvement and Collaborative Partnerships. This is a Client-Facing position.

      Serve as an operational point-of-contact, advocate, problem solver, and trusted advisor for defined set of Clients specific for decreasing Denial Impact.

      Partner with Clients and Ensemble Operations to proactively improve Client health and satisfaction by monitoring key metrics related to Denial Write-offs, First Pass Denials, and appropriate “in process” metrics.

      Provide depth of insight and on Denial Write-offs and First Pass Denials to identify patterns and trends relative to Acute Denials.

      Develop cross-functional Process Improvement action plans to engage and influence Operations. Connect the data to current state processes and policies, collectively root cause accounts, and determine appropriate next steps to resolve breaks in process or other gaps in Roles and Responsibilities.

      Engage the right people to solve the right problems with the right depth and scope of work. Provides roadmap of solutions to specific problems covering necessary information relative to identified trends, progress from prior actions, and next steps.

      Prepare and lead Denial Prevention Committees to highlight issues and calls to action for driving resolution to underlying problems that lead to denials and write-offs.

      Leads reviews using all patient accounting, host, Epic and related systems used across their client to verify and summarize trends concisely and actionably.

      Travel independently or with a team for on-site process reviews to strengthen relationships, engage Client Service Lines, review key performance metrics, and identify opportunities to further align results.

      Consistently identify opportunities to improve processes and conduct data analysis to identify root cause. Provide ongoing training and development for Client and Operations as appropriate.

      Job Experience

      • 5 to 7 Years

      Desired Education

      High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience

      Other Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

      5-7 Years of experience is preferred; but 3-5 years of experience is minimum required

      Experience building and managing relationships, including interacting with all levels of management (both internally and client-focused)

      Understanding of Revenue Cycle and Risk areas that lead to a Denial

      Possess process and change management skills, in addition to standard Project Management components (e.g. lead meetings, draft status reports, develop & manage project plans, track issues/risk logs, develop & monitor resource plans, etc.)

      Experience with root cause analysis, including the skill and experience to troubleshoot and investigate issues

      Ability to execute and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

      Ability to work independently and to participate in cross-functional teams

      Outstanding communication (written and oral) and interpersonal skills for Executive facing presentations

      Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and OneNote

      Hands on experience with PM/HIS systems preferred (e.g. Epic, Cerner, etc.)

      Excellent phone and presentation skills

      Travel up to 25-30% of the time to client sites, meetings, or seminars

      Understand the vocabulary used in a healthcare and revenue cycle operations
