- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by providing chairside support.
- Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials needed for dental procedures.
- Take and process dental X-rays.
- Record patient medical history and treatment information in electronic health records.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
- Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment.
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program.
- Current Dental Assistant certification in the state of South Dakota.
- X-ray certification preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare setting.
- Minimum of 2 years of dental assisting experience.
- Familiarity with electronic health records.
- Experience with pediatric and general dentistry is a plus.
