      As a member of the department of Dentistry, the responsibilities of the Preventative Dental Assistant include: preparation of work area for dentist and patient flow; ensuring room, equipment and supply cleanliness; under the orders, supervision and guidance of the supervising dentist, performing simple dental procedures within scope of practice; performing reception responsibilities and confirming patient booking information; monitoring in-room inventory for operatories; performing cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested; working in compliance of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and its regulations, reporting hazards, deficiencies and contraventions of the Act in a timely manner.
