      Serves as an analyst for the behavioral threat assessment and management (BTAM) team for the Michigan Intelligence Operations Center (MIOC) with the primary responsibility for providing analytical intelligence support for the regional multi-disciplinary (i.e including sworn law enforcement criminal intelligence, public health, mental health, etc.) threat assessment team to identify, assess implement, and manage intervention and support strategies for individuals mobilizing to violence.

      The Michigan State Police (MSP) is a full-service policing agency with statewide jurisdiction, providing over 60 different services either directly to Michigan residents or in support of other law enforcement agencies. The MSP personnel most visible to the public are the uniform troopers whose primary responsibilities include traffic enforcement, crime prevention and investigation, and community engagement and service.


      Education
      Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major.

      Experience

      Departmental Analyst 9
      No specific type or amount is required.

      Departmental Analyst 10
      One year of professional experience.

      Departmental Analyst P11
      Two years of professional experience, including one year of experience equivalent to the intermediate (10) level in state service.

      Selective Position Requirement: The applicant, or individual occupying this position, must possess a minimum of one year of intelligence/investigative experience; or possess a bachelor’s degree in an intelligence analysis program and completion of an intelligence-related internship program.Departmental Analyst 9 - 12
      Educational level typically acquired through completion of high school and the equivalent of at least two years of full-time active-duty experience at or above the E-6 level in the uniformed services may be substituted for the education requirement.
